Ya, I am still very very active but when I camp, hunt, or even fish, I like to be as comfortable as I can be. I sometimes will go off through the woods carrying a 75 pound rucksack or backpack, a 2 way radio, food and water, a camera or camcorder, my weapon, and a small 2 person tent when scouting an area. If I like the area for whatever reason, I will return but do so hauling all my camping goodies (which are NOT so portable in a rucksack). I will just load up my Jeep and head on out. With that in mind many of the things we list within this page we OWN and also use (just not on a casual scouting expedition). If you are an RVer that my friend is NOT camping (sorry but heading out in an RV is not the same thing). When you are setting up camp you need to choose a Dry area and clear the ground of sticks, rocks, and other
sharp objects. Then you LAY DOWN a ground cover which protects the floor of your tent (if it has one at all)
and makes packing it back up easier. This is a pretty good ground cover for that purpose. It is 10'x12'.

You may see a few pinholes but they are easy to patch (mine had some). I have 4 tents from various manufacturers and they ALL had pinholes and they are really not a big deal. | You need a way to sharpen your knives,
axes, and other tools when in the field. This one is great for that
purpose and compact too.

If you are a large person, using one of those 5 gallon bucket toilets when camping is out of the question.

Some call this a 'Deer Cart' because it makes hauling a larger animal
through the woods much easier than dragging it or hauling it off in
pieces.
I use it to haul my stuff (a lot of stuff) into the woods, setup camp,
then I do my hunting. It will easily handle 300 pounds.

These we got for emergency situations,
but; I use them all the time when in the field to well - Do my
business! Remember when toilet paper was scarce on the shelves during

This is a low profile chair that is very comfortable. It folds up very compactly too for backpacking.
I am in the 250 pound range and this chair has held up nicely under my weight.
Often when I hunt I will setup a small low profile BLIND. The blind is short and a lawn chair with me sitting on it does NOT work. These are great tactical type cargo pants
when on maneuvers, hunting, or camping out. They also seem to repeal
water a great deal (not waterproof, but water resistant).
I have two pairs of these and wear them all the time.

This is a bright light and you can even charge it via one of those

(70cm/2 meter). I have 2 of these and use them all the time. They are
easy to setup and use IMHO.

These are great 70cm/2 meter transcievers.
Makes a powerful base station setup, or mobile rig alike. I have one in
my Jeep, and 1 I use as a base station. You can scan both bands at the
same time,
and the radio has separate speakers for both bands so you can actively
listen into both bands at the same time.

This is a very nice night vision binocular that also can record photos/video during day or night alike.
I use them all the time even here at home to investigate night movement/noises.

All tents vastly overguess how many people
it will accommodate as you are going to have gear, food, water, etc you
also need to stow away. Realistically this is a 1-1/2 man tent with
that in mind.
Still, I really like this tent as my Go To tent when heading out for a
day or two for a hunt or short outdoors in the woods photo shoot. It
sets up in 60 seconds and takes back down
almost as easily.
